PLATELET RICH PLASMA [PRP]
Platelet rich plasma [PRP] is extracted from the patients own blood. This has concentrated growth factors which help stimulate collagen and elastin production in the skin resulting in an improvement of skin texture and tone.
Commonly known as the Vampire Facelift the procedure is done in the outpatient clinic after the application of topical anaesthetic cream. Tiny droplets of the PRP are injected at the dermal/subdermal level and this helps improve the skin quality.
The procedure takes 30-45 minutes and it takes a few weeks for the full effect to be seen. Fine lines, wrinkles are reduced, skin tone and texture improves. For full benefit 2-3 treatments are recommended at 3-4 month intervals.
